Thought I would just post some more detailed pics of how I'm doing the carb rubbers.

Here's one next to the standard PWK 28 rubber.

Thanks Steve.

I've now made a start on the airbox, which is probably going to be a few weeks work for me.

is there any reason why the inlet manifold holes are offset towards the center line of the bike?

Yes there is, it's because the KR frame is too narrow

I appreciate this probably doesn't look too clever, but the final product will be no lesser standard than anything I have done on this project thus far.

I've taken some plasticard and created a basic airbox shape, to suit the area available to me. I have a few pieces left to add to it and holes to fill, but once it's done, I'll be able to create a mould from it using fibreglass.

It's going to be a muliple process effort to reach the final result, so I'll update the thread at each stage.

Bernie, you're welcome to stop by when ever you are passing to take a look and have a cuppa.

Phase 2 of the airbox.

This is the first mould to create the plug from. I should be able to get the plug made up by the end of the week.

As expected, I managed to get the plug made up and am trying it for size in situ with the bike and sub-frame. I need to clean it up, put nice radiuses on edges and give it all a polish, so its ready to create a nice mould from.

It's all a bit dusty at the moment, where I've sanded or trimmed bits, but I'm actually relatively happy with its fit and how it will look on the bike once I make the final part from carbon fibre.

Here you can see the shaping around the gas can for the shock

It's a good volume airbox considering the tight area I had to work around

Will update this thread with the airbox plug out of the bike all cleaned up and ready for the mould creation
