Quality work Martin. Where are you sourcing the brakelines? the chap who did ours appears to have ceased trading, and I've got some other wee projects requiring the original (looking) lines.

By the way have I missed the boat for the resevoir stickers, I havn't been posting much lately. Few things to deal with.

the brakelines were a very good set i had and had the painter give them a quick once over.
as for a res sticker.

pm me your adress and i will get one off in the post to you.
the company [image works] that did them for me are charging £8-9 on ebay, a bit greedy me thinks.

just had a thought ,which could be dangerouse ,but from learning n working ,when elecrtoplating ,we used rubber belts to keep the silver n nickel off selective parts ,thats why i chucked the rubber bushed engine mounts in t platers ,so i cant see why we cant chrome or nickel original brake lines

i know some workshops arnt up for it but theres alot who realy look after you ,

Between that and the stainless steel screw the whole thing is ruined

I can perdict with 100% confidence, my one will never be even half as good as this.

Sadly the first things to deteriorate on the KR-1S are the fork bottoms and the triple clamps
which because of the particular deep brushed surface finishes are impossible to resurrect exactly.

Have you satin finished the top clamp or painted it - the lower clamp looks very nice...

presumably with the forks you had to remove the turned coating and brush finish
