Well the bike runs okay, and the motor and gearbox all seem well, will start to strip and remove the skin, and have a look at what's underneath......

Thing is it looks alright in that pic, take the plastics off and it is absolutely covered in stinky oil, and I mean everywhere inside the plastics all over the engine its disgusting - will probably clean it all off when I fit my lovely new silicone hoses :D

P.S. That pic is a a year or so ago, its now got Nikon pipes, braided hoses and powder coated black calipers!

Hi Nick B. KR1 man calling, and welcome. Nice looking KR., I'm based in Poole, Dorset, where I now know there's the grand total of 3 KRs': a very long term restoration, a gorgeous 8000 miler owned by a dealer with a garage full of toys (& it never gets used) and mine and sadly that's the lot! Great forum, good for info, bits, queries/problem solving, answers, great pics and much more. Look forward to a chat soon. best regards, KR1 Man.
RD350 LC YPVS. Also grandson Declan's KR1 with ZXR black/purple paintjob/ KR1-s upgrades and max polishing
