Well i've been lurking for a few weeks now and gradually reading through a lot of the posts in the different sections with great interest. There seems a wealth of knowledge here and a lot of the projects are very impressive.
I have a KR1 and KR1s and half a KR1s for parts from which i hope to build a good KR1s for the road with all the best parts and a KR1 for the track with whats left(hopefully).
The KR1s runs and sounds sweet and the Kr1 has a seized barrel on the right hand side.
I am not the fastest on doing things as im also building a car  so dont expect too many updates or pics although probably lots of questions and the pursuit of parts as the KR1 is as rare as rocking horse shit here. [/img]
I would post a pic but havent worked that part out yet.

Welcome on board ozzy1, your certainly on the right forum with that little lot !

Everyone has fun with posting pictures when they first try to do it. I use photo bucket. I upload the pictures on to Photo bucket and then copy and paste the img code into the body of the message..

Detailed answer see here

G'day Ozzy, and welcome to the forum.
I know what you mean about getting parts, as it aint much better over here in the eastern states either. How bad is the seizure on the KR1 barrel? Sometimes, if your lucky you may find that the barrell will clean up as long as a ring hasn't dug in somewhere. Youll also want to check out what barrell is fitted on the left side as they often end up with mismatched barrells.

G'day,

Was that the one on Gumtree in SA minus the tank and subframe etc? I was very close to buying it.

Probably looks worse in the pics than they are.I have a one piece seat unit and also full bodywork for the kr1 and the s.
I had already started to partially strip and clean them when i took the pic
