kr1s racer

This is my race bike which is quite a bit different from an orignal Kr1s. Heres the spec:-
Rgv250 vj22 back wheel with cut down rear disc and Yamaha tz 250 rear caliper and renthal light weight race sprocket.
Techno flex rear race shock.
Rgv 250 vj22 complete front end with race mudguard.
Forks are fitted with rebound damping and the insides have been revalved & Bitubo heavy springs.
Alloy race clip ons.
Braided hoses all round
Pace big race rad now fitted
Alloy race fairing bracket.
Engine running tz250 pistons, gas flowed crankcases, slightly ported.
Carbon end cans.
Alloy race petrol cap, stompgrip, renthal grips,
Now fitted with EBC Prolite front race discs
Step up plates for standard rearsetts and cutdown pegs now fitted
Pirelli diablo supercorsa sc1/sc2 race tyres 110 front/ 150 rear.
It makes perfect sense to me to fit a rgv250 front end with the rgv rear wheel as this keeps the geometry as the kr1s was designed. I have tried the zxr front end route with the r6 rear shock and although it is very good it is limited to how fast you can take it around a race track. so im building a kr1s wet bike with the zxr front end and r6 shock set up. But for the dry you need to get your kr1s to the highest spec possible as were racing full blown tunned to the hilt zxr400's kicking out 76 plus bhp at the back wheel and they really are good race bikes.

Are you running a 120 section front with the stock RGV wheel?

Thanks Guys/Girls :) ive still got upgrades ( lomas pipes, etc ) but im trying to get the best handling bike possible before i get more bhp. I was told that suspension is the key to race lap times and us mere mortals would struggle to get good fast lap times on this bike as it is and its very capable of do good F400 lap times now. I do still think i could go one better by getting Maxton to sort the front end with there kits as they specialize in Rgv suspension among others but its cast again :(
Oh and i forgot to add i sparyed it myself ( first time ever ) using Halfords spray cans and some good cutting compound, i was very pleased and suprised of what can be done with spray cans :D

You can get a rim from a sv650 which bolts in to the rgv front, no spacers and discs bolt up but is a 3.5 front for a 120 slick ;)

Ive got a later gsxr 400 front rim for it which is a 3.5 rim. bigger rim bigger tyres = more weight :( or do you go for more tyre edge grip ?
thanks for the info

You can then get a set of 250gp slicks on there, in 125/165. More grip than dot tyres. You get a larger contact patch. You can lighten the rims slightly by deseaming.
