Something different

Having a go at adding some pictures of my 89 KRI. I know that it will make the "keep it original die hards " cringe but would be interested in opinions.

different - loose the B exhausts and white chain guard
although perhaps add a full-on white aero-hugger over the rear wheel

another...
add more seat pad and incorporate pad around tank (Suzuki NUDA)

I'm liking the black frame and rear tail piece - great twist on a classic for me :D Perhaps some moto or lomas pipes to top it off ?
If it takes more than 2strokes then your just playing at it..

Quite like what I can see of it so far, and would definatly like to see some more of it. As you said, it's a bit custom, so won't be to everyones tastes, but most of us here can at the very least apreciate the effort gone into a bike like yours.
The only things I can see that look odd to me, are the white chain gaurd (like the KHI though), and the flat black pipes (perhaps KR1S pipes or somethng aftermarket with alloy cans would be a nice touch).
As for the rest of it........ I like. =D>

Thanks for the comments. Heres a bit more info.
All work carried out by myself. Stripped bare a blasted. Frame is not exactly black but has a slight green metalic sparkle in the sunlight. Forks rechromed and rebuild. new screen, braided hoses, calipers rebuilt with new pads all round, new tyres, engine partial rebuild, KR1S rear shock. own design seat unit by me. Work in fiberglass so knew how to produce pattern/mould and part. All other body parts are original plastic, new chain, polished alloy parts, Chain guard in fiberglass ( Have original and am also still unsure about the white one too but easily changed if I deside to let it go.) Spray job by me ( spent 15 years in bodyshop) 2k arcylic base and laquer including wheels. Airbrush by me ( hobby). Rear exhaust hangers lazer cut stainless steel. Have been looking for pipes or cans but are very expensive and I am getting fed up spending to be honest but will come at some stage. Won best in show at Motor Mania 3 bit of a fluke as the judge was Ryan Farquar so maybe a bit biased to a Kawasaki.

The more I look at your bike Davy, the more I like it.

I was going to coat my fork bottoms black but just wasn't sure, now I've seen yours I will be doing mine this coming week 8)

The paint scheme is fantastic, proves the three colour rule works.

The white chain guard looks brilliant, def. keep that =D>

Love the tail unit shape (hmmmm another Idea for my Kr1s project :-k )

Not keen on the airbrush artwork, extremely well done but not for me, sorry.

But I do like the original Kr1 pipes, pity they're so bloody heavy.

All in all, a really lovely looking bike =D>

Looks good,well done! :D
Pipes?they look fine IMO,what you can do if youre inclined and want to lose some weight and making repacking/decoke easier is fit TZ style 2 bolt silencers, all you need to do is cut the can off and leave a flange to for the can to bolt up to.
Like you said, aftermarket pipes are expensive (overpriced nowadays IMO),and they wont make a big difference if any on a stock engine.
Like the airbrush work, amazes me how the hell you do it!
Good to see another B2,and not an S wannabe.
