KR1S Panels, differences?

Hi Guys,

I am now looking to start my 92 KR1S C3 restoration after taking the plunge and purchasing about a month ago.

Sorry this must seem like a really stupid question, but as I am no expert on the KR1s, what are the differences in the panels in model years, or are they all interchangeable? I was going to look at trying to pick up some second hand ones as some of mine have damage.

Any help greatly appreciated.

Cheers

Ian

Yep,

Any panel throughout the model(s) run will fit every model.

Front fairing/belly pan/seat cowl/side panels, all the same. Good old Kawasaki

Just different paint schemes obviously.

They are Ian, but good original bodywork is increasingly difficult to find. Busted bodywork IS repairable if you've got the skills. I havn't so I got someone to repair ours which was a bit of a mess.
There are a few threads on the forum where members have repaired their own with good results.
Good luck with the bike

Thanks Pablo,

I am happy to have a go at repairing the panel work, it is just easier to start with the best you can find. I guess after 20 years you have to take what is around.
