that'll be well worth a magazine article once its all done
Couldn't agree more. I think it looks superb & its not even finished. I have a book called 'kawasaki racers', I believe its published by the Haynes group. And in there is a pic of an X-09, with (sorry Ben  ) a much simpler paint scheme.

If I can work out how to use the scanner & how to post scanned pics, I will.

And thanks for the lead on the heat reflective stuff =D>

Thanks for the nice feed back. I don't have the first clue about magazine articles and getting someone interested in doing an article on it.
Why do you apologise about the simpler colour scheme on the X-09?

That's the one KR-1R, phew saved me a bit of time :D

Because, when you mentioned doing an X-09 scheme, I meant to ask you which one?
Then I got distracted & forgot all about it.
Just thought I could have convinced you to go for the green/white/blue to save you from all the painstaking masking out on the other scheme?
I wasn't having a dig at your choice of colours.

I honestly couldn't say what may fave colour scheme is on the X-09, I reckon it would look good even if it was painted bright dayglo purple!

I had my heart set on the later colour scheme and no one would have been able to change my mind once I'm set on doing something.

All this masking work is a pain and time consuming getting it all symetrical, but it's so going to be worth it in the end.

I've had to pause for a day, as I ran out of that fine line masking tape and refuse to use the other stuff. I'll hopefully get some tomorrow and I'll get the blue on the tail piece done.
I need to let the red harden for a few more day before I can mask off that area for the blue.

Hopefully I will have all the colour done by the weekend and will have moved on to the white.

As usual, I'll keep the photos flowing with the development.

That would indicate some X-09's survived and have been used in the last 4 years.

Any ideas Danny?

The track stickers I have on my bike are less glamorous than international circuits like Suzuka.
