Thanks for the info Maccas and Ali, I'll give it a go. Been looking at getting a light weight battery, but with everything else going on, I've not had chance to look for one, but this looks like an excellent alternative solution to my problem.

Thanks for the positive comments guys.

I wanted to try to take a picture of the rearset brackets, but it didn't turn out brilliantly, but you'll get the idea.

I purchased these Yoshimura rearsets, but the hole centres were about 1mm out and they were too far forward on the original mounting points, so I made up some carbon fibre blocks to act as an inbetweener.

For those of you that have tried getting after market race rearsets, our choices for the KR can be somewhat limited, so this seemed like a perfect solution.

What is the coating on the exhausts, they look thermal/flame sprayed?

WD40

I had them shot blasted as I prefered the look of the raw metal. I just keep them cleaned down with white spirit and then spray a coating of WD40 on them to keep them as they are.

Thought I would upload some pre paint pictures of the bike with clothes on. I have a bit more prep to do before painting starts, which will probably be Sunday.

Thanks, it will look better once it's had a lick of paint and a clean.

Are you coming out to play next Friday/weekend?

Looks great, I love how light the back end looks with all that subframe removed.
Need Break down cover? P.m. me.
