Yep thats how it starts. After the powder coaters it'll be brackets and fasteners to the electroplaters, engine aqua blasted etc etc.

There are allways suprises too, like that crack in the frame. No it never ends

That crack in the engine mount is actually pretty common it seems. It's caused by the mounts being slightly wider apart than they need to be and being pulled inwards against the engine when the engine mount bolt is tensioned. The best way to avoid this crack re-occuring is to fit some appropriate thickness shims between the engine and the mount removing the stress altogether.

Cheers Scott. There has been a repair there on the opposite side to where the crack is now. The shop I took to then lead me believe it was caused by swinging the engine done without backing the bolt off a bit. But this time I did that and was quite angry that it was still cracked

I think most of us on here have tried a jigsaw puzzle similar to that one, with rather mixed results.
I know there's no way in hell I would've finished my KR1 puzzle without cheating and looking at the intructions.

That's why I haven't pulled anything off the other bike Scott.
I finally got the brake discs off tonight.... Which was a lot harder then I thought it would be. After 2 atempts I finally have the colour I want for the calipers and disc inners. Somehow I bought bright yellow!?! 8-[
Tomorrow it will be swing arm off and get the wheels and frame off for Powdercoating.

I've been a bit lazy the last few days. But decided tonight I would do something constructive.

I've been a but distracted lately, with work, Bathurst and the Moto GP.

But had a bit of trouble with the swingarm bolt. Those bastard really got stuck in there. I sent it down to the local h***a dealer, but those dick couldn't get it out either.
A little bit of thought from a mate a magic.

Over the last couple of weeks I have been pottering around the garage clean bits and pieces. Hats off to anyone who has cleaned their inner guard, what a prick of a job.
I also bagged and numbered every bolt, screw and nut. With a "master" diagram of where they had come from. But the kids got into the garage and one of the pages is missing.
I have gotten a lot of the bigger stuff ready to have work done, just waiting on enough $$$.

I finally did it I dropped all stuff down to the powdercoaters.
I've been thinking tires the last few days. I only seem to be able to find Battleaxes or Perellis and cost is around $400aud for the pair. What do you lot use and what's the cost roughly. I've had battleaxes before and wasn't really a fan.
