and even has the bellypan rubber knobs on the exhausts

I love the original colours - and if my B1 was perfect I would have no problem if the ONLY the thing I changed out was the drain pipe exhausts for 1S items (just so it didnt give me nightmares of the first TZR)

how thick is that paint? detached nail beds from all that sanding the casting surface from rims?

yep. exhausts nos, and alot more bits nos, would,nt like to work out how much the restoration cost, i know that i have now got a completly standard kr-1 b2

Is the frame enamelled? Did you do the paint yourself? looks fantastic.

some parts are a little too perfect, my original has very questionable overspray inside the fairing where the green meets the white, i hope the guy in japan in the paint department did the honourable thing, i think his name was 'harry kiri'

Fantastic, i really am now swaying towards originality with the Kr's

I think any classics editor with a bit of sense should be beating a path to your door martin - this machine sets the kr1 benchmark.

but I too prefer small stainless buttton heads for the fairings and elsewhere - rather than shitty looking chromed ones or philips types that go rusty on the edges after a bit of use

and adjustable mirrors are more sensible design

Couple of questions
Did the B2 come with the rear mudguard c/w number plate light, a white pillion seat, & white mirrors ?
Only asking because I have seen various bikes that have neither or a combination of the above.

Cant stop looking at the pics, its how I imagined the bike rolling out of the dealers shop on the first day
Ahh yes I remember picking up my RD200 from Queens Park Motors in Salford Manchester (anyone remember them) & yes it did rain

Compared to yours, Martin, mine looks like a dung heap.

But I don't mind, yours is too good to ride and I like to ride mine all year round

I bought my 1st 350lc from Queens park many years ago and
also had a couple of used bikes from them.
I can remember hanging out down there on a saturday afternoon
then popping over to Sports motors on liverpool street to drool over
the stuff they had in. . . . . . . . . Happy Days
