finally got myself a hoist

Build it myself out of a hospital bed, nearly finished now:

I think the cheapest/simplest way to build a stable hoist.........

Looks good Charles, couldn't help noticing the set of traffic lights in the background, do you use these to practice your standing starts?

That does look the part Charles, but I have to ask as well (Kwakman12) what are the traffic lights for? And where did you get them?

I know you don't drink now but are they from a drunken rampage from your youth? Is there a town in Holland still wondering where the traffic light went?

I'm off out to get myself a speed camera for my workshop

They were meant to go on when our ducks ( these ones: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Indian_Runner_Duck ) pass by my workshop. At least that's what my kids wanted them to do. I fitted them but still haven't got round to getting them to function in the desired way.

We (that is my wife) got them as here in town some old lights were exchanged for new ones. She just asked if she could have some and came home with 6 of them........

they do run rather fast, I can say out of my own experience  We have those ducks sincs 8 years, and I get the chance to chase every now and then. They breed every year so we have had an average of 10 ducklings every year.

Foxes really seem to like them: every year we sell most of our ducklings, and often to the same buyers as theirs had been eaten by foxes. Foxes are thus great for business :D
