Zues blue kr1
Was the kr-1 ever produced in blue and silver. I have seen 1s in blue silver and black and really like that look. Just looking for some ideas while I sort out the jigsaw.
Any pictures welcome
Thanks

Hi Brett,
Unfortunately not, it was only produced as the KR1S C2 for the JDM.
One of my favourite colour schemes, Doug from the forum met up with me at my local bike meeting on his Zeus Blue, it got a lot of attention.

Thank you gents, much appreciated.
Still undecided what colour to go for. It appears that under the other colours some of my plastics and wheels are red. Never been a fan of the gold calipers so just looking for some idea's.

Hi Brett
I have got to agree with you about gold callipers.
Mirror polished, gun metal grey anodised, powder coated and painted, tried them all, but never gold.
Cheers

I'm thinking zues blue style of the kr1ish.
Vapour blasted wheels with the just the three spokes polished and the letters and casting marks removed

Re: Zues blue kr1
Hi Bernie,
Great photo, love the red KR-1S. The tail / brake lights on both the bikes seem to protrude out of the rear body work much further than the one on my JDM C1. Is that another difference between the C1 and later C2 / C3?
Cheers,
Ian

Re: Zues blue kr1
Well spotted Ian and as usual, fantastic photo Danny.
I had never actually noticed it before, strangely enough, I had heard it mentioned but had just put it down to poor assembly, but it is significant.
I will check the parts lists, the R must be the same.
Cheers

.
.
but KR-1 had sticky outs too
https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=daTkjOuZAzc
as did Ninjas
though it might be regional to Europe ... but seems to be all C3.
or just something forgotten over the years?
NZ SP C3A...
C1,2 D1,2 were the only JDM models AFAIK ... both flush like KR-1
Smokin'...
BEET smoked lens covers... 0404-K15-00 this and footrests still available

Japanese domestic market (JDM) bikes have the rear light flush with the rear cowling, they also have a built in rear number plate lamp, the rear indicators are closer together and the front indicators are slightly smaller, has to do with the regulations in different markets, I'll get me anorak

Re: Zues blue kr1
If you remove this bracket from the light on UK models it pulls the lens in almost flush - just need a coupe of big washers to enable you to
fasten the light to the remaining bracket

Re: Zues blue kr1
This is exactly what mine is like. The rear light is near flush (protrudes a couple of mm) and most of the underside is translucent so that the tail light is also the number plate light. It has the short stem rear indcators and the narrow front indicators.pookie wrote: ↑Sat Feb 02, 2019 1:49 pm Japanese domestic market (JDM) bikes have the rear light flush with the rear cowling, they also have a built in rear number plate lamp, the rear indicators are closer together and the front indicators are slightly smaller, has to do with the regulations in different markets, I'll get me anorak

Narrow front indicators (not many of those a about) nightmare if you need a new lens
