bad starting

any ideas..hard to start, eventually does fire up,leave a couple of hous go back and fires second kick usually..good spark..petrol seems to get through..goes well once running,but sometimes ticks over at 3000, and eventually drops back to 1k :roll: :roll:
remember, you can strap a monkey to a rocket, but that won,t make it a pilot..

Sounds like an air leak. Perished carb rubbers , or vaccum hose ??

Other than that, perhaps a sticky carb slide, but that normally makes the revs rise much more.

we have changed the vacuum pipe as it wasnt sealing very well and the next step is the inlet rubbers

try petrol tap in prime position and see if that makes
a difference

Sounds like carb rubbers air leak or throttle cable sticking?> :wink:

changed vacuum pipe, changed petrol tap, and finally carb rubbers, my mechanic (sprocket) unpaid, balanced carbs etc, 1 kick this morning.. :lol: carb rubbers looked well perished, so think they were the main cause, just to keep u informed tambo..thanks for all advice :lol: :lol: :lol:

also turned oil pump down as it was over oiling i think it may need a hotter set of plugs now the weather has turned it is only getting used for shortish runs ( like most of them at this time of year)
my old gt380 used like hotter plugs in the winter to prevent them fouling up
