Well after a chat with the garage and the prospect of a £60 bill found a new sense of motivation 
Managed to undo the bottom bolts using a large sump plug knocked into the inside. This gripped amazingly well and when I got it out it had made its own groves to grip.
Seals all changed all I need to do is fill them up with oil. How much does everyone use and whats the best oil to buy?
