KR1S swingarm end cap clearance

Post by headcoats »

I have a KR1S swinger in an RD frame :-$

The quesion i need is after you have put the end caps in the ends of the pivot bolt spindle and tightened in the frame to the correct torque, how tight or loose does the swinger need to be ?

from when i mounted my swinger i just tightened it down and it rotates on the spindle. if its too tight then you will possibly stretch the spindle.

if its too loose i would guess that it would generally make the handling sloppy and wear any linkages as well

post doesnt really help you  just some ideas

I stand to be corrected, but I thought the 1 had end caps and the 1s didn't.

Had a quick look and you are right

In the parts list i think they are listed as oil seals and look the same as the ones fitted to the rear caliper bracket.
