Front and rear calipers

Hello all,

I've just had my calipers back for the blasters and they have made a right pigs ear of them.

They didn't bother masking any of the ports or the pot holes. As a result I think they are now unusable.

Can one out there give me a definitive list of what other bikes use the same calipers or what other calipers will bolt straight on.

Cheers,

Jim

Off the top of my head;

Early zx9 uses the same fronts as do ZXr400 H model (Later L is different) I think the ZZR 600 also uses them.
The rear is the same as an RGV.

I'm not too sure, but they have Fooked them. Looks like they might be replacing them tho.

jim it seems simple to me they have flip them up they must replace them if its though shoddy work which it sounds like
if you have a receipt just mention trading standards to them and see what happens

Is it because too much metal has been blasted away?
Or whatever they used did it block up the caliper inners?
Why i mentioned beadblasting ,it is far more alloy friendly

Got myself some more calipers yesterday.

Today I set about stripping them. I had bit of trouble getting the pots out.

I got some heavy duty paint stripper and I cleaned them up using a small Dremmel wire brush.

Only took a couple of hours to get them to this state.

Does anyone know if a couple of layers of Hammerite and Lacker will do the trick?

did mine in hammerite gold, didnt last long...fluid killed it at the first touch..
anodising / chemical etching are meant to be very good..

You Can get special caliper paints from halfords - all sorts of colours as the Max power boyos use them don't know how good they are though!
