Post by slydesigns »

Is this actually for a KR1S?? it looks great!

If not what are the fairing options for the KR1? Its butt ugly standard - the headlamp/screen area stands up to high/isnt raked enough.

Unfortunately if you look at bodywork the site sell for other makes of bike it shows the same generic picture for all of them, the shown fairing is for a gsx-r.

As for alternative bodywork specifically for the KR; such a thing doesn't seem to exist, you have to do it yourself. At least one person has fitted aprilia RS250 bodywork to their KR which i personally think looked very good, and almost all fairings will fit after a bit of fettling.....or a lot.

Both Scoobie and my-self have fitted the early Apprilla RS250 fairings . They fit quite nicly and only require a bit of fabrication to get the brackets to fit (cut an apprilla one up and get it welded on to the KR and a bit of trimming with a knife to get the clearance needed for the gear selector and rear brake. There are some pictures somewhere on the site of both bikes.

tyga performance do beautiful aftermarket body kits for the h***a nsr250

Thanks for the answers. I've seen the "Stealth" bike on here with the RGV banana arm etc. That one looks good, however most aprilias here in NZ are 98 and newer, so the older style fairing is rareer than a KR1r
