crankshaft B2 C3

Post by Mouser »

Hi,

Does the crankshaft from a B2(1989) fit to an C3(1991)? Is it exactly the same part?

Thanks

I'm not disagreeing with Jarno, but the part numbers are different:

B1, B2, C1, early C2 crankshaft complete 13031-1287
B1, B2, C1, early C2 LH ball bearing 92045-1215

late C2, C3 crankshaft complete 13031-1326
late C2, C3 LH ball bearing 92045-1247

Since the ball bearing is included with a complete crankshaft, the different ball bearing may explain the different crankshaft part number. Anyone know if this is true?
If the ball bearing is the only difference, what is the difference between the two ball bearings??

Thanks & regards,
James

James, different part numbers don't mean parts aren't interchangeable.

there is no difference, sizes off all the parts are the same. maybe they switched from bearing manufacturer, I don't know. KR1 and KR1S had different piston's, still they are interchangeable.

Yes Jan - I agree that they are interchangeable - I just wondered if anyone knew the differences between the bearings and/or crankshafts 8)

James
