New owner
Hello everyone the name's Rob just bought a KR1s off ebay and thought I'd introduce myself. Feel free to laugh at my frame it's lovely int it. (From Lancashire.)
Bought as not running. Cleaned carbs out and tank etc new battery, fresh petrol and it started straight away and sounds mint. The rear shock is knackered or wants re-gassing? and then when i've sorted this out and changed oil etc it will be going for MOT so i can have the odd ride out to Rivi Barn in spring. ps i will try and clean that gold off frame at some point as well spoils the bike as it's fairly clean overall with only a couple of marks here and there.

Welcome
Yes i saw that on ebay, bodywork does look good which is a result.
I think the auction was ended early and yes get the gold paint of that frame, wonder why some one did that.

Re: New owner
Not sure why someone would go to that much trouble to spoil a frame but everyone to their own taste I suppose. I have tried a bit of cellulose on a rag and it appears to bring it off so I will continue and see how it looks. Yeah i made a bid at it off ebay and the seller then ended it once I collected.375 wrote:Welcome

I do like that colour scheme .
Nice standard place to start, you can do things as you go along that way.
I would get a new regulator on it,and away you go =D> .

Re: New owner
Hi Rob,
Picked up a KR1 myself in December, with a useless back shock.. There's a few posts on here about reworking them but I've just sent mine to Brook Suspension in Bradford, he's charging £100 inc vat for a refurb plus postage, gave me lots of good advice over the phone as well before I sent it. I'll let you know how it goes..
Doug.

In my experience this busts and blows more things than just itself so better be safe than sorry. Most bits if they break just cause a break down, not these little rascals.
I think a firm called eleux or something do the best ones, have a look through the back posts, its there somewhere.
