Kips motor bracket. How much free play?

Went to rig my KIPS cables today and noticed significant play side to side on the bracket between the frame rails. (See photos below)
Is this normal or should I add a rubber grommet as a spacer an eliminate side to side bracket motion?

it is normal to have some play between the bracket and frame.

Mine was the same so I put a flanged nut in the gap
