Most of them are when we start (some worse than others), we always like to see the transformation from scrap to glory. [-o<

It's winter here in Australia if you can call it winter in sunny Queensland on the Gold Coast.

My plan is to replace the parts stripped off over the years and get it running.....will go from there.

LOL yeah its a carpet (or rug if you prefer).

I have burned several holes in it with various hot bits and the TIG welder over the last few months.

The wife gets tired of rugs and rotates them occasionally. I recycle them in the workshop.

Being middle aged and whatnot....makes standing on the concrete that much easier.

I was successful in finding some bits today...KIPS cables, a reg/rect. a radiator etc.

Still missing a CDI and a set of pipes but getting closer to hearing if it will run.

The big question I have: Do I get a KR1S CDI?

I seem to be under the impression that the S CDI opens the KIPS about 500 rpm higher. The S CDI also runs up to a higher RPM yes?

Should I source a KR1 CDI (21119-1234), a KR1S CDI (21119-1287) or spring for aftermarket like the PCDI-10K Zeel?

Thoughts?
