Now I was happy with how the outside of the engine looked, I need to make sure it was in good condition inside as well.

As I spend a lot of my time on the road (at work) I do not have much time at home to do the jobs that need a bit of time and attention lavishing on them.

So I admitted that my engine rebuild would need to be done by someone else, who else than MARTIN 8)

All the bits were packed up, including all internal bearings, seals, rings etc...

And off they went to Martins house \:D/

For him to work his magic on my engine......

New KIPS valves, linkages and a set of pulleys from Charles :)

Them head bolts need some bling, and the carbs need an ultrasonic clean, full gasket set, new jets and needles :)

The number of hours that went into getting that finish (especially on the head and barrels) well my excuse is "I caught the ocd off the missus".
I saw the finish on Headcoats billet head and thought I want mine shinier!

I had no idea how hard it would be, but I am glad I did it

Thanks for the comments :)

A quick question regarding the dreaded bottom engine fixing bracket......

Mine has a small gap (0.5mm as can be seen in the photo), do I need to shim it up so that it is a tight fit?

Cheers
Bernie :)

Yes you do Bernie. It will crack your frame when you tighten it up if you don't

Looking great by the way!
