I use a MIG for alloy welding.
it ain't as easy as welding iron though. it's strong and solid, but it's hard to make a nice good looking weld. that's why you won't find any on my bike : I just sand them away
btw : last week I started on a quick interim-project, has to be finished before the 3rd of october : fitting a ZZR600 engine into a ZXR400 first modell, 'cause I want to use it on a Trackday at Francorchamps

first impression (never ran a SV650 before I bought the engine) : as fast as a KR1, runs fine , nice low end mid-end power, but absolutly no "let's kick some ass" top end
