Hi All,
Can anyone please shed a light on what part number 110091757 is please? It looks like a (half size?) gasket that goes between the crankcase and the generator case on the Kawasaki fiche but is no longer available and didn't come in the cheapo gasket set that I have here.
Cheers
Dave

Hello Daventry,
That gasket is not included in any gasketset that's available ,it is a gasket shaped like half a moon and it is to protect the ignition for oil from the balanceshaft
Gasket is made of some sort of rubber
You can make one of electrical insulation tape
Cheers jarno,

Thanks Jarno! I've done as you suggested with not a lot of tape but I can see daylight between the faces of the two cases (generator and crank case) what do you guys do here - fill with sealant? I'm using Kawasaki bond ( three bond 1105b) and I'm not sure it'll like a gap that size (.3mm).
Cheers

Hi Bernie,
Thank you - that's a very kind offer but I think I may have managed to sort it now. I've used a single thickness of tape (rather than double) and used a lot more gasket sealant than I'd like. This looks to have sealed correctly but only time will tell. I also notice that there is what looks like a small drain hole at the bottom of the generator cover so I would imagine that the crud gets in there regardless?
Thanks again to you too Jarno for the initial advice.
Cheers Dave

I'm sure it's more likely to be a EMF shield to stop interference from the balance shaft with the timing pickup coil. Could be quite important for low rpm timing
