Hi Marty,
How about some photos of how the Red and Grey paint work turned out?

Re: touch up/paint
Hi bernie!!
Well I went to the trouble of finding really good colour matches with the paint readily available for vehicles and bikes, and I mixed and sprayed some bits......
Then I saw a picture of a red kr with a black frame... It looked rubbish. Sorry guys!!! The red kr with a black powdercoater frame looks pants.
However...... The same bike with a silver frame would look unbelievable!!
Soooo in a few months I will post a picture of my version of a kr1s.........
The colour codes I gave earlier on in this thread are very very close to the original. The metallic flake texture is a little different and the silver is oh so lighter. Only a minter in the sun would look different.
As for rs bike paints, the paint that they mix is usually available on most car body shops computers, again I looked at them, but firecracker red has quite a lot of shades!!!!!
Cheers Martin.

Yes they are still on the computer at work. Their are a few shades and years of firecracker red on the screen, I suppose I could mix 50mls of them send see which is the closest.... Best not tell the boss though!
On a more interesting note I mixed kawa greens from the kr1s years..... Thier are 3 to choose from. All very similar.
Cheers martin.
