Hi folks,
Long time no posts, and no kr1 time
Finally got is stripped, and as suspected the head was warped on both cylinders on the upper side between the combustion chamber and the long coolant slot. Got is skimmed, so ready to re-assemble with 2 genuine base gaskets to regain swish, and a genuine head gasket.
Question is - dry gasket assembly, or a smear of Kawabond, or is there something else I should be using ?
Thanking you
Tommy

Re: Head gasket additional sealant ?
I always put a tiny smear both sides of the head gasket with h***a bond. its expensive but good stuff. make sure you only smear it on very thinly. a lot of people will say don't use any. as prob thinking of fouling the waterways etc. but me personally. I have built quite a few kr engines and not had any leak on me yet.
