Wainfleet Motorcycle club are proud to host the 2011 UEM European Solo Championship Final on 27th and 28th August 2011 at the fabulous Thorpe St Peter circuit, close to the holiday resort of Skegness and home of the famous Lincolnshire Poacher event.

Race fans can look forward to a mouth watering line up of world-elite track racing stars in one of Europes premier off-road events, being held in England for only the third time in the last 30 years.

Following qualification rounds held in France, Germany and the Netherlands, reigning European Champion, Andrew Appleton, has confirmed his place in the final, along with fellow countrymen Glen Phillips, David Howe, Richard Hall, Mitch Godden and UK based Aussie Rod MacDonald.

Representing Germany is two-time European Champion Stephan Katt along with the fast rising Martin Smolinski, Richard Speiser and Christian Hulshorst. From the Netherlands another two time European Champion, Theo Pijper, the exciting Jannick de Jong and Mark Stiekema are sure to be a strong challengers and they will be joined by fellow countrymen Jeffrey Woortman and Erik Eijbergen.

The remaining challengers for the title are top Czech Speedway stars Ales Dryml and Josef Franc, along with 2008 European Champion, Stephane Tresarrieu from France.

Running in conjunction with the European Final will be the 2011 staging of the prestigious Lincolnshire Poacher races. The climax of the event sees the four top Poacher solo riders go head to head against four top European Championship riders in a dramatic shoot-out for the 2011 Poacher Solo Super Final.

Poacher competitors include defending champion Tom Perry and fellow young guns Jamie Rodgers, Tim Nobes and Charlie Saunders. Paul Cooper and Chris Mills are sure to be strong contenders, along with spectacular Dutch youngster Lars Zandvliet.

The Poacher Sidecar event features thrilling 100mph action with the worlds fastest off-road 1000cc Sidecars racing only inches apart with no compromise! Reigning Poacher champions Rob Bradley and passenger Shaun Simpson will have to beat off the cream of the countries three wheeled gladiators if they are to hold on to their title. Local driver and former Poacher champion Colin Blackbourn with Carl Pugh in the chair will fancy their chances as will this years top combination to date, Rod Winterburn and Liam Brown. Other teams likely to be in the mix include former British Masters Champions Paul Whitlam/Alan Elliott and Rob Wilson/Terry Saunters.

Saturday 27th August sees official practice for all European Finalists from 2pm, along with qualification races for final places in the Poacher Sidecar line up. On Saturday evening there is a full programme of live entertainment on stage in the barn including a live band, comedian and other entertainment, as well as autograph signing and interviews with the top riders. There is a fully licensed late bar with real ale and a selection of hot food is available.

Sunday 28th August sees practice for Poacher competitors from 11am with the days race programme commencing at 1pm. Admission includes superb camping and caravanning facilities at the trackside for the whole weekend, no booking is required, just turn up! There are modern flush toilets, hot showers and all the attractions of Skegness just four miles away.

The European Final and Poacher event is sure to be an absolute blockbuster and not to be missed. Why not join us for an August Bank Holiday weekend to remember in Skegness!
