Just inspected my front calipers and found the pads to be corroded and need replacing. The calipers and pistons are abit corroded but should clean up ok. Is it worth buying new pads or investing in new calipers, such as fireblade or gsxr 1000. It's a track day bike, when finished anyway!
Thanks for any opinions.

hi mate i fitted the 02 blade nissin calipers to my track bike,
you just need to make top hat sections ,2mm hat, 1mm walls to allow 10mm bolts to fit and position calipers central on disc.
they are the lighest production calipers made..
£50 on ebay....
coupled with a radial master cylinder (gsxr £80) they are awesome .....

From what I've read in the other threads on brake upgrades, the '02 blade nissins are a straight bolt-on for KR1S, apart from the spacers.
As for Corky's being USD front, I'm pretty sure it's a ZXR front which fits the same calipers.
Am yet to hear of a bolt-on upgrade for the KR1 though.
