Post by headcoats » Sun Jun 10, 2018 6:14 pm

Does anyone have a spare KR1S rear sprocket gathering dust please :P

Or an alloy one used for just a few times on the track etc ?

Many Thanks

Yes same fitment

KR1 is 40t KR1S is 41t - but i guess yours is for your hybrid LC so you will have your own idea in mind

They both use 520 chain - and JT are good sprockets

You may be able to save a few pounds if you buy items individually from different sellers

If its for your hybrid not sure how you will determine chain length (unless you are using the same set up as on your first one)

I have an RK 120 link chain which I bought a few years a go
Got a Talon offset front sprocket at 17 teeth and a 40 tooth rear sprocket is on it's way

Yes it's for the Hybrid !

This build has been on and off so many times now

With the Athena 392 top end going on , it makes this a different animal

No power valves , so it will behave like the original LC

https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Kawasaki-KR2 ... 2749.l2649

Bought this and it doesn't fit

The holes are a smidge too far to the outer edge

Are KR1 and KR1S carriers definitely the same ?

If so then the manufacturer ain't got it right ?

you don't have to tell us, tell the seller or check the dimensions.

I bought a JT rear last year and fitted ok - never had a problem changing rear sprockets

Are you sure the sprocket carrier is for KR1/KR1S and not KR250A

Hole centres for sprockets on KR250A are 130mm, for KR1/KR1S they are 156mm

Garry it can't be the other model as 130mm wouldn't even come close to the holes
My carrier has the 156mm holes but the sprocket holes are a tad off

I have emailed JT sprockets too about this as I think it's a bad batch or something

This pic shows the sprocket on the other side but shows the mismatch

Well it has turned out to be a fake FFS !

Contacted J T Sprockets direct who were very helpful and confirmed the finish, stepped machining and the stamp on the back are all dodgy

JT sprockets should have a "sun" logo stamped on them with a separate long number , I guess batch identification

They suggested to get one from Wemoto as they are an official stockist

This bloody bike is fighting me every inch LOL

I should let the seller know (they may not know they are fake) - they should offer a refund

If no luck report it to Ebay

You should be able to get your money back
