Hi,
Can anyone help.I have tried 2 rev counters on my bike(1989 KR1) and neither works.Battery is charged, bike starts, all lights work.Any way i can test these counters,i don't think both are knackered.Any other tests i can make.Thanks.
Hello Mate should have 3 wires 1 +12v 1 earth and 1 cd1 pulse First i would check see if i have 12v if you have check the wire from the Cdi is not broken if its not it could well be the Cdi
Brown +12v
Black/yellow Earth
black on rev counter Then changes to black and white to Cdi
Hope that helps

Had a look and couldn't see any wires broken.I have checked the brown wire at the rev counter,it has 12v.Tested the blk wire at the rev counter with bike running, getiing voltage up/down so i don't think it's the cdi. Will try another rev counter.
Thats interesting , I have disconnected the lights and indicators and the tacho seems to work fine Could be different wiring for OZ maybe but have seem nothing in the manual .
Hi,tried with fairing on,still nothing. This is really annoying now.Think i will just have to get another rev counter, this will be the 3rd one i will have tried!!.
