Tsk tsk...
I would have thought it was obvious what a KR-2S or KR-2R would be

Your new race bike? (has this been suggested before?)

You wouldn't use the KR-1R gearbox at Bonny would you?

No but it could be and yes probably.

At Bonneville, because of the gearing the shift between 5 and 6 on stock box was a big one. The 1R box with the closer ratios will keep the engine on the boil between shifts particularly on that important 5 to 6 change.....

wel Mark, I can thinck only of 2 things :

- double the number of cylinders, but that's not going to happen in an original frame.
- double the capacity of the engine

Work is continuing but this is a long project. I reckon it is at least another month of design work then we have all the analysis to do.

This should make it easy

What comes after 1
well that would be 2
No 2 came before 1
and before 3
but 1 was also before 3

Now 2 was bigger than 1
and 3 was bigger than 2

But III came before II
and II = 2
But III > 3
though I = 1

Anyone remember that Gameshow from the 1980s called 3-2-1
The clues were in the form of a rhyme and if you got it wrong you won a DustyBin  it was hosted by Ted Rogers who could do that trick with his hand .. Anyway... I found that show bludy frustrating...

This is like one of the 3-2-1 clues... Aaaaaaarrrrggghh

I'm a bit confused here, which is not unusual, but I digress.
If I am not mistaken, or have not been stunningly outwitted in some way I would guess that you are proposing a 4 cylinder 500 with the KR1-S engine as the foundation, and if I was going to attempt something similar myself I would quickly give up!
However, if I was made of sterner stuff then I would launch the balance shaft over the neighbours fence and replace it with our collective favorite...another crankshaft - then some cylinders and some other stuff to hold them all together.
Hopefully they'd be sufficient V angle (once the original cyclinders had been reversed) to cram a few (somewhere between 2 and 4) carbs in.

Why don't you start revealing bits of a sketch in a Rolf harris "Can you guess what it is yet?" style?
