Hi All,

Been slow (again) on this build but brief update.

Forks now re built with new dust seals, seals, bushes, re chromed stanchions, new pre poad adjusters and triple S powder coated lowers.

Engine cases are with NOS EXUP for vapour blasting.

Made a bit of progress recently. Not a lot more I can do other than start putting the engine back together and then brakes.

Sorry about the pictures, they were done on my phone

did not beleave it when i saw the parts coming out of the ultrasonic cleaner.
it must be a low milage bike (9874 km on the speedo) never saw engine parts came out that clean exept for cabs.
i know now that the engine was never opened before because the wrong type of pistons came out of the engine and the ware green coated.

i won't restore it as beautiful as your kr1 i wil only clean and service it i want it to be as original as possible.

hi Wayne,

Tyres are BT90's. Front is a 110 and rear 150. Can't check exact details at the mo as she is in the naughty corner at the back of the shed  .

Selling a couple of bike so she can come out to play.

When I get a chance I'll get you full details.

This is where I got them http://www.tyretectrading.com/store/lis ... tegory=144

Thanks Wayne.

Engine in the utility room, pipes under the spare bed, bodywork in the loft.

I'd like to have the rest in the house too but it ain't gonna happen.

LOL.

I stayed in a bedsit once for a short period before I moved to the midlands. The guy who owned the house was / is a classic car enthusiast. He had scrapped a few MG's in the past and had parts around the hose as ornaments which had the MG logo.

He also had a original Austin clocking in machine from the Longbridge car plant.

Collected my 1s engine from Martin earlier this year. Stayed in a B&B in Birmingham on way home. Didnt trust the area, so asked owner could i keep the engine in the room. He was most amused but let me do it. He even commented his cleaner had asked " why is there an engine in a yellow box in this mans room ?

LOL. Well at this moment wheels in the loft the newly sprayed ones, the bones are in the conservatory and the body work is in the kitchen stacked on the new kitchen units, which means the bike gets done before the kitchen. Speaking of me bike not a lot to do will be posting up some photo's any day now, but keep us up to speed Andrew look forward to seeing more cheers Wayne.
