KXR-1SS

Post by JanBros »

FINALY :!:

I've got one : a KX500 engine . I 've been looking for one for more than a couple of years :?

Image

in Belgium, small bikes ain't popular, shame on us  . I've always found that sad, 'cause on trackdays I'm mostly the only one with a small bike, and allthough it's fun to kick big bikes ass's, it ain't fun to see them disapear in the distance just 'cause they have more BHP.

but that's going to change with this (huge  ) motherfucker  . bought everything for 350 euro, and it should have a new piston.

once my SV-projekt is finished, it's mission "KXR-1SS" 8) (ss = super single)

I have to hand it to you janbros that will be one fast bike ! I thought about trying to fit a kx125 engine into an AR50 just to go round town and piss off all the little shits on mopeds 8) I thought the piston rings needed replacing on a very regular basis so was put off the idea, Is this true with all KX engines as I might give it a go.

What sort of HP does a KX500 single put out? will it be quicker as a package than a KR1s?

standard 60-65BHP I think

I've never ridden a 500, but everybody says they are beasts, and start pulling from the bottom-end. so they are deffinitly faster.

and are easily tuneable to 80 BHP, and even more 8)

Janbros

How much maintance will a KX engine require as I always thought the piston rings need regular replacement is this true ?
If not do you feel like building me one ? :D
