My first project

Post by Llewe »

Hi all,
here are some pics of my kr1s project. (I hope)
I bought the bike as a non runner but after sorting some bad connections out, cleaning the carbs, fresh fuel and a new battery it fired up first kick.

Then I decided to restore, so first thing was to powder coat the frame and swing arm

I painted the wheels myself and refurbished the brake calipers, fitted new bearings everywhere. will add more soon

Hi llewe and welcme to the forum. Great start with the photos, we love before and after photos and restos on here. Make sure you rub down the earth points for key bits of kit when you rebuild it.

Hi all,

This is as where I am with the bike now, I have finally got two decent exhausts which have now been painted and fitted, and am now finishing the bodywork, then it's MOT time!

Looking good, wasn't that long ago mine was all masked up like that. Get feeling once its all painted and you peel the tape off

Thanks Toby
I will probably repaint the wheels, although I recently did them to ensure they match the rest of the green on the bike.

can't wait to try it out!
