Ha!
The roads up here are spectacular!
Think flat out open roads, no trees to spoil views, not to much traffic,
A local council with way too much money so great surfaces, no potholes.
No speed cameras.
You wear out the sides of your tyres before the middle!
Ha!,

Hi guys!
Nearly there,
Since this was taken I've put the front brakes on, put in the Hagen rear shock,
Taken out for a shakedown, and noticed the forks are on the wonk.
Also the fueling below 4000 rpm is bollocks.
But above 5000 and at 8000 it's excellent.
The front brake has a lot of lever travel, and the indicators stop working as the revs rise, a lot like a tdr250 I drove around for a while!
Cheers Martin.

It's mot is on Wednesday, here's hoping!!
The black frame was an accident. I think I would prefer it silver still!
I think I'm going to have to work on the carbs, just to see if I can get it a little smoother at lower revs.
I'm slipping a bit of clutch.
My friend says deal with it as it runs well at high rpm!,

She passed her mot!!
I had to reroute the brake lines last night, and re bleed the brakes!
It's pretty handy working next door to an mot station!!
So that's her finally on the road!!
Now to fix the bent forks, do a little feeling tweeks and pass more traffic!
She was good on the run home, really sings as she heads into 9000 to 100000 rpm!,
Cheers martin

I've done 200 miles on the kr so far, runs pretty good, a peerie stutter around 6500 rpm, possiblly down to a cut down air box lid?
But from 7500 to 11 it's smooth.
You hear the exhaust note change at 8500 rpm, with the power valves opening.
I'm getting a tiny sproot of coolant out the expansion bottle, might have a look at the hose.
She was at a bike rally this weekend and the older guys fairly appreciated it!
I had a shot of a panigale there too, and it's shock to the system jumping between the two.
Cheers for all the help
Martin.

If there is coolant expanding into the overflow bottle beware it might be caused by a head gasket failure

Now then, I have been on the little KR quite a bit, maybe 500, 600 miles, and it's running well,
Some interesting points though.
Do you lot use heat resistant tape in the belly pan?
I haven't and it's done some melting of the plastic, not much but you can see the evidence!!
The front brake lever has a bit of travel. It works well, but I've had to put the span adjuster in a halfway setting to get more distance on the lever. Also changing my usual grip on the front brake from two fingers to three or four depending on brake temp.
Also this sounds mental, but when the powervalves open, I'm not feeling a hit, it comes on song around seven, and just feels smoothish till around 11500 to 12000 then mechanical sympathy kicks in.
If any thing, I feel a small dip as they open and the exhaust note changes at 8500?
But that may be my mind playing tricks!!!!
Cheers Martin.
