Hi, if you want to see what true grit determination New original spares and half a tonne of Solvol can do fo a bike have a look at the early pages. It kept me going all last year, pure class and meticulous attention to detail.

All sorted now, starts first kick, and sounds really mean

Just need a warm day and a bit of sun so I can get out on it and perhaps do a mini video.

Cheers,
Bernie :)

how did we live without endoscopes :P
nice crisp, shiney, and sleek with no pillion
however I think it needs to be richer at zero throttle (air screw or pilot) or the throttle cable slackened...
too slow to drop from 3000 to idle

Throttle cable way too tight, I must have had a few Bushmills at the time

Done a bit more.....

1/4 turn in on the airscrews ........ much better \:D/

Upgrade the elderly electrics, changed the stator to an Electrex World unit.....

The standard one was working just fine, but it could be +25 years old

Just need to measure the cable length and crimp on the connectors,

I left the cable quite a bit long, as the cable is directed anti-clockwise on the Electrix World unit, so I wound the cable tightly around the mounting boss and secured it with the wire clip.

As I had a BDK lightened flywheel (180g lighter) it seemed appropriate to fit it.

Job done :)

Thanks Martin =D>

Thanks for the comments guys :)
Took her out for a run and she felt different, the pickup on the revs seems much quicker and cleaner.
Did a full circuit of my area, country lanes and motorway, she seemed very comfortable on both, that's more than could be said for me
My right hand felt like it was going to drop off (had to sit up a few times and leave the bars go, until the blood went back into my fingers), my knees and hips are well knackered now  Should have just done the gardening, I would have ached less.
It's been quiet Ben, what have you been upto?
Cheers
Bernie :)

I've just been busy and have a lot on with the Derby Phoenix. I was at Snetterton this weekend representing the club. Got a quick shifter off Borut the other week and want to change my transmission to my new close ratio one hopefully this coming weekend. I need to get the bike back on the dyno as well to setup my ignition properly as well.

Hi Ben,
That sounds promising, are the powerjets working well?

Generally the bike works very well, but the powerjets need a little bit more setup. I can do this out on the track, as they come in to use more on anything other than WOT.
