Hi all,
I m not a mechanic but am able to carry out some work. In the middle of a restoration project of my Kr1 89.
Unfortunately after having replaced the broken clutch star with a billet one that Mark from this forum made. Assembly was made according to parts and service manual But I am still unable to make the clutch slip. What am I doing wrong? Any tips would be much appreciated.

Hey,

Thanks for the info. That was it.
One friction disc has a not smaller but larger inner diameter than the others. It is not really visible in the parts catalog but when you have the discs all layer out it is very obvious.

Many thanks.

no one ever tried to use 6 normal friction plates and leave out the spring and thrust washer ?

never had to buy a new clutch so haven't tried it myself.

The KR-1 F3 kit manual shows exactly that, Jan- fit 6 normal friction plates and delete the spring and washer 49074-1051 and 92144-1315.
