Power valve removal

Post by Spanky »

Question. What will happen if i remove all the power valves and just cover the holes on the cylinder head? How will the engine run?

Not as well would be my answer, but why would you want to do this?

My friend bought a kr1s. It was not running for years. And the shafts of the PV were all broken off. So we were thinking of just closing the ports aybe with a solid round bar with the power valve's diameter and closing the hole on the head cover. Its hard to find kr parts here in the Philippines.

Hi Spanky,
It would be a pity to have to do that as you would lose your bottom end tractability.
All the parts are available, new and used, just let us know what you need.
Bdk race engineering make replacement standard and F3 valves.

I would see if you can get some shipped from the UK first.

you'd better block your broken valves in the open position. round bars eliminate the auxiliaries completly and the engine will not make much power.
