Undercutting dogs?
One of my gearboxes was jumping out of 5th on a regular basis. I was wondering whether undercutting the dogs would be a good idea, and if so, does anyone know a good company that does this?

Re: Undercutting dogs?
I would assume that Ellis Moore can do this. And yes, it is a good idea, especially for a race bike. But normally there should be no real reason for jumping out of gear if everything is OK, so perhaps something is wrong in the box, e.g. bent/worn shift fork, rounded dogs on the gear. I'd give the cluster a thorough inspection while it's on the workbench.

"Indeed it is", said Alice, looking at the mouse's tail.

Nova Racing maybe
Would it affect the hardening on the gears though as the hardening is a very thin top layer ?

Nova are too pricey, MPE is the best bet.
