Hi
Have just built a Kr from boxes and on start up it seams to be blowing oil out of the left hand pipe which looks like gear box oil .
Am I right The crank oil seals have gone or could I have over filled the gear box oil ?
If it is the crank oil seals which one or would I have to do a full crank rebuild ?
Regards
Rob

Do you have a window on your gearbox side case? .If its overfull you can drop out small amonts via the drain plug on the LHS

Thank you for reply but was making sure it's the crank oil seal before I pull it apart as cannot work out if oil is topped up to much why it could go into the left barrel .

If it's a crank seal then it's the LH inner seal. The oil can be sucked in from the balancer drive gear cavity- when the engine is running there will be an oil mist there. Chances are the centre shaft is worn, asuming the crank hasn't been rebuilt and fitted with a proper centre shaft.
