I haven't yet confirmed it 100%, but I strongly suspect that RGV250 genuine rings will work with the KR-1S piston. Both are 56mm bore, the rings being 1.2mm thick, with ends which close over the ring peg.
I made some measurements from a (supposedly) VJ22 bottom end with pistons still attached and they appeared to be the same as KR-1S. I think the Suzuki part number for the VJ22 standard rings is 12140-22D30.
The VJ21 models used rings with a different part number, so I can't comment on whether they would be any more or less suitable.
As far as I know, the RGVs used a keystone section for the top ring and a plain rectangular section for the bottom ring. I can't be sure that this will match every version of the KR-1S piston - perhaps someone more knowledgeable could advise?

Regards,
James
