Hi folks,
Have covered a trouble free 500 miles since curing the overheating problems caused by a slightly warped head, but now the left hand kips valve has snapped at the threaded hole !
Not sure why - there was no impact, and all the valves were turning freely. Only thing that might be a problem is I am using a right hand link on the left side, but re-drilled to correct the angle.............maybe it's slightly out, and put too much pressure on it ??
Anything else I should watch out for ?
I've got a couple of spare valves, so I'll look through and see what sort of condition they're in, and see if I can pick up a left hand link. Over the years I've picked up 2 full sets of pulleys............both of them with a right hand link on the left side
Cheers,
Tommy
