KR1 big bore kits, anybody know anything about them?

ie: who made them, what cc and power, which pistons to run and are they any good?

Stan Stephens started the 300cc conversions. He sold a load of his stuff off, but if you phone him for information on them, I'm pretty sure he'll give you an honest opinion and information on them Mark.

not worth it.

cylinder wall's become very thin, and a stroker is best square. As the KR is already over square you are moving in the wrong direction. you'll gain some midrange but loose top-end.
My ultimate goal is to die young as late as possible !

I find mid range power and torque good on the KR as it is, the main challenge to getting more power is keeping the engine revving and the power curve going up. With a higher revving engine brings other reliability challenges though.

Already got it, came in a box full of bits I acquired, maybe not worth using then,
might build a motor to see what it is like though.
