Graphik detail decals.

Post by Marty_Rillo »

Soooooo everyone.....
Has anyone used the decals from graphic detail lately?
I'm just finishing up the paint, and it's time for some decals. The old posts say these are okay, but not to lacquer over them in case they shrink? If so does anyone know who else to use?
I could buy the set of decals and get them reproduced in high quality vinyl here in shetland?
What lacquer did you use to get shrinkage? Rattle can or the two pack body shop kind?
Cheers Martin!

Is this Graphic Decals in Bromley

I've been hunting someone who will do decals for ages so was interested to know where you sourced your decals from.

Not sure where they are from, but they are on ebay!!
I'm thinking to get them, and have them reproduced in a high quality vinyl to lacquer over.
I painted the seat unit, mudguard, and indicators today, wheels tomorrow and the two tone parts maybe Saturday, or next week. Then I promise a photo!!!!! Hahahs!!
Cheers Martin.

Got the decals the other day, I have to say they are only okay,
The quality is okay, the sizing of the smaller Kawasaki details is wrong, and the rear number boards are not very well finished and the wrong size.
BUT! It's pretty good for the money paid, probably close enough if you weren't being so picky!!
I'm going to get mine reproduced by a local company in a safer vinyl for lacquer and correct the yellow number board.
Will let you know how I get on!

Hi Marty,
Could you post a few photos of the decals and advise what the correct sizes should be please?
I am ready to paint mine, got a set of decals but they are different sizes to what is already on the bike (but I have no idea which are correct.....old or new)
I think I will have mine airbrushed on :)
Cheers

Hi bernie, the decals are at work and I will try and get some images done over the next few days!
The Kawasaki decals for the front and very rear above the lights are about half an inch too short and a few mill not tall enough! As for the rest! I will measure the buggers and try and get it to a scale you can read!

On a lighter note I got another set of wheels!! Phew!
Cheers Martin.

Cheers Martin =D>

What colour wheels did you get?
(Sorry I forgot about the rear wheel #-o , it is still in the loft)

I will have to dig it and all the other surplus bits out (to fund the spray job, since I have already committed to having it done)

I may even let these go....
Mint left hand switch unit

Uncut rear mudguard and reflector (on the left, not the NOS one, that is going on my bike \:D/ )

Hi Marty,
Just noticed the Ebox Frame stickers are bigger than the ones on the bike at present.
Very strange

Hi Bernie,

Would you be prepared to sell the used rear mudguard?
