I don’t know yet.
I refuse to have a bike that will not start easily.
I have a few triples and they start on the first kick.
I had a serious crash 5 years ago and have had 5 surgeries on my right ankle,
It hurts to kick😫.

Yep, no more bump starting. Check the carbs before tearing the clutch and crank pinions apart!

Hi Cexley,
I have removed the engine from the frame and have disassembled the engine.
I want to completely rebuild the engine and check every component.
I am an engine builder by trade, so I want to restore this bike to as new as possible.
I would really like to speak to Ted about his race bike and discuss his modifications before I begin to re-assemble.
Could you ask him if I can contact him please?
Thanks,
Shane

It'd be great if Ted could be persuaded to come on here and share his knowledge.

Ok all. I'll email Ted and see if he is up for joining/corresponding with us all! He is an amazing guy. He has made his own carbon fibre disk valves!

I have just put my carbs through the ultrasonic cleaner, as suggested in this post. Bike starts first kick now! Almost before finishing the first kick!

Just stumbled on this post!

Did anyone manage to get in touch with Ted to discuss mods to the KR?

Thanks

Dan.
