After years getting somewhat along

Post by pepsi » Tue Jan 12, 2016 8:54 pm

Got the tires, sprockets (Front one NOS) and discs mounted ,the wheels, chain aligned ,the front brake rebuilt. I sourced out a NOS fuel tank cap its really pretty :) , Some kind of black chrome finish, in the photo the outer ring looks like regular chrome. It was a real bear to change out the lock tumbler, really fiddly .Mounted the NOS rear shock. After 4 years got the bike running on a remote fuel bottle, the repacked carbon mufs still seem pretty loud, I'm not complaining  Starting on repairing the bodywork getting ready for paint.

Great stuff, like to see something a bit different. Nice job on the fairing. That rear exhaust looks a bit long though!

You know it's cold outside when you trip over dog shit instead of standing in it.

Yes its awkward, however its not so bad from different angles. I have something in mind to lessen the awkwardness .

Sorry I meant the exhaust exiting the bike is kind of awkward, I'm kind of proud of the fairing treatment, believe me I have whole alot of time in that.

I have to agree that the top fairing looks good. Is it from the FZR series (400 or 600 perhaps)?

Regards,
James

It s a FZR400 aftermarket fiberglass unit without scoops modified to tie into the Kawasaki mid panels. However there are the fairing mounts to consider also.
