Building a track/race KR1S at the moment, I run 110/70/17 & 140/60/18 dunlop alphas on my road bike & have been very happy with them (also done a couple of trackdays & the rear has been right on the edge!)

My track/race bike/ has standard front forks, PFM discs & Fireblade calipers with a r6 rear shock, is there any advantage of running 120/60/17 & 150/60/18's? what effect would it have? perhaps a different combination 110/ 150 etc? will stick with the Dunlops. Thought some of you lads who race them might be able to help/advise?
Thanks Gary

Alot of track KR's have a rgv VJ22 rear wheel which gives you a 17" rear with a 150-155 tyre although a 160 Dunlop KR364 will sit in quite nice. The front wheel is a bit narrow for a 120 front but I converted a ZXR400 front wheel to fit before going for a full ZXR400 front end conversion.
