Anything radical?

Or was that a daft question bearing in mind how far you have already gone with the rest of the bike =D>

I don't want to go into any detail at the moment on the internals of the engine, but happy to show you when I'm assembling it if either of you want to stop by.

Here's a picture of one of the pistons.

If I can manage to find some KR power, I'd like to join you next year. If not, I might chuck the NC30 on the track in the Bemsee sub 64's

I think you'll find some power. How are you getting on with that top end/head of yours?

well, if they did a sub 48 class, I think I'd be doing well #-o

The recent top end I have been using has been put on the shelf for now, so I'll be using the Bob Farnham top end I used at the end of last year that ended with a big end failure just coming down paddock which resulted in a coming together of the head and piston and a scored cylinder (as well as a lunched crank).

I've sent off the cylinder to Aptec, cleaned up the head, got a new piston on order and repaired the crank and I'll see what it does at Brands in October....fingers crossed [-o<

Haha good guess wasn't it !
Did you have to weigh the piston to check me out?

Are you using KR-1 barrels with this piston?

I may just have to take you up on the offer to visit you when passing... Preferably when Bernie is in the area too.. As long as you have PG tips ;-)

No, I weigh everything and knew what they were off the top of my head.

I am using KR-1S barrels with this motor, but adopting a different approach to the exhaust port and subs.

I usually have Yorkshire tea or earl grey Shaun.

The PG Tips was for Bernie..(snigger)

Now I'm really looking forward to seeing how your engine tuns out using the single ring lightweight specials.. =D>
