dry cell or gel ? that is the question...

i have one of these batteries from my brothers vfr400..

We use them on the a/c ground Equipment in Norway and the desert where they perform well.
On the vfr it was awesome with an upgraded rectifier fired the vfr up no probs every time.
need a new battery for my KR1s and one for my hybrid (looking at running a total loss system on that)..think this may be a bit too much.
what are the best options?
